what is micro wrestling?
The Micro Wrestling Federation is a full-scale, WWE type event supported by an entire cast under five feet tall. Founded in 2000, the MWF is the longest running organization within the Little Person wrestling industry; no other company has performed in more events since our inception. The Micro Wrestling Federation has been imitated without success as we are the original “MICRO” professional wrestling organization.
The Micro Wrestlers have been featured in Sports Illustrated Magazine, Country Music Television, and the WWE. There is no denying that the Micro Wrestling Federation is the number one Little Person wrestling organization on the planet – high-flying, body slamming, and off the top rope!
The Micro Wrestling Federation performs 200 shows a year from coast-to-coast as well as 4 shows a week at our own 300-seat mini arena in Pigeon Forge, TN!
The Microtorium of Pigeon Forge is located at 185 East Wears Valley Rd in the Shops of Pigeon Forge (the same plaza as the Red Skelton Tribute Theater and Dollar Tree). The Micro Wrestling show is an all-ages event that is great fun for the entire family. Shows are Wednesday – Saturday from 6pm – 7:30pm; doors open 60 minutes before showtime. The Microtorium is now open!
This program holds shows Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings during a large part of the season.
The doors open at 5pm and the first bell rings at 6pm. The show features 3 regular matches and has all the wrestlers come back for a battle royal at the end. Plan on the program lasting approximately between 90 minutes to 2 hours.
They have snack concessions for sale and a chance to meet the wrestlers for photos and autographs. Very entertaining for the whole family and you can find coupons in some of the coupon books around the area found in hotels, restaurants, stores and attractions. The coupon is usually good for ten dollars off each ticket purchased.
They accept cash and credit cards for payment.
Ringside tickets are $40 dollars each and general admission is $30 per ticket. Again, presenting a coupon will give you $10 off each ticket.
When I first heard about Micro Wrestling, I thought it was a joke and was certainly not politically correct. Then I started hearing from people who saw the show. They all loved it and said it was super entertaining. If you are or were a WWE fan this is a must-see.
The wrestlers all have stage names and are real characters. When my wife Jenny and I went to the Pirate Voyage we noticed a “small” young man surrounded by a bunch of people and they were all laughing and having a great time, I came to find out later he was one of the wrestlers.
I have never been a big wrestling fan but I will see this show in the near future.
The show goes on the road in the off-season so check out their website for ticket information and let me know what you thought of the show, I would love some feedback!
