Our Take: Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant was just how it sounds, a farmhouse serving southern home cooking. You could tell by the many rooms and how it is laid out that the restaurant has been there a long time and has been expanded many times.
The service was very good and the complimentary Apple Fritters were awesome. I couldn’t decide on what to get so I settled on the Trio, Chicken Pot Pie, Chicken and dumplings and Fried Chicken. It was all very good and way too much food.
My wife ordered the meatloaf and really liked it as well. They had a store next door that we want to explore next time we stop by. I hear the breakfast is very good as well so we will have to try that next. Highly recommended!
