Also known as “The Dixie Stampede”, Dolly Parton’s Stampede is perfect for the whole family. You will enter a 3500 square foot arena and be treated to a meal of chicken, pork loin, potatoes, vegetables, drinks and dessert.
Then you will see a friendly rivalry between the North and the South. 32 horses, talented riders and herding buffalo, it is a unique experience that everyone will enjoy!
I brought my two grandchildren and we had a great time. The food was good and the show was very entertaining.
Word of advice: No need to go too early, as you enter the building you are first ushered into an area where they sell overpriced nonalcoholic drinks and snacks. There is enough food served inside the arena that you should try and avoid this temptation.
They have a band with banjo players entertaining the crowd and they are very good. After the band finishes their show, the doors are open for you to enter the arena.
We tried to find discount tickets online but the most we found at the time was $5.00 off per ticket. Dolly Parton does a lot of awesome things for the area, but it is hard to get good discounts for her events. We ended up just calling the ticket office and got front row seats.
Great show especially if you have children!
